Read a passage of Scripture. Consider Psalm 24.

    2. His Spectacular Accomplishment.
  4. Behold! The Glory of Christ in the Divine Endorsement He Receives, vv. 34-35.

    2. His Special Calling.
    3. His Singular Authority.

Spend time in discussion or reflection on what you heard.

Possible Discussion Questions

  • How would you summarize the main lesson of this passage?
  • Do you seriously come to Christ that you may have pardon and life?
  • Do you respect the word of the gospel, receive it with reverence and delight as the voice of God’s great prophet to you?
  • Do you mix it with faith when you hear it so that it profits you and does you good?
  • Do you receive it as the word of God?
  • Does it come to you not in word only but with power as the word of God’s great Mediator?
  • Do you hear him on whatever the Lord chooses to speak to you?
  • Do you hear him so that you prefer him to everything this world has to offer you?
  • What in this account made the greatest impression on you?
  • What, if anything, are you challenged to do on account of this passage? Are you following Him?

Close with prayer, thanking God for His Word, asking Him to help you to understand, hold on to, and faithfully apply what you have heard.
