Man’s reason for existing is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. At Faith Community Church we desire to promote, magnify, and proclaim the honor and excellence of the one true God. To do this we emphasize three areas of ministry:

  1. Worshipping God
  2. Building up believers in their faith by teaching and preaching God’s word
  3. Proclaiming the gospel of grace to sinners

A key text of the Bible which clearly defines our ministry is Colossians 1:28.

And we proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ. – Colossians 1:28

Our Distinctives

We are committed to the gospel. We believe, trust, rejoice in, and declare that because of the grace of God alone; by the righteous living, sacrificial and substitutionary dying, and victorious rising of Jesus Christ alone; a sinner by faith alone is made acceptable to the true and living God and is made able to live for His glory.

We are committed to the authority of the Scriptures. Since the Bible is the only reliable, inerrant, and infallible source of truth provided by God, it is the sole source for our teaching and preaching. You should bring your Bible with you when you visit us.

We are committed to the importance of the local church. Individual believers ought to identify with a local church, where they can partake of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Table, where they can be equipped for service by the ministry of God’s word, and where they can be held accountable.

We are committed to proper worship of God. True worship is mediated by Christ, guided by God’s word, and devoted to proclaiming the excellencies of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (I Peter 2:9). The ministry of God’s Word, the singing of psalms and hymns and spiritual songs and praying are central to such worship.

We are committed to practical holiness. Christianity is more than knowing and talking about the truth. The faith that saves a sinner is a living, active, and working faith. Christians ought to live their lives in a manner consistent with what they say they believe.

We are committed to loving fellowship. Genuine Christianity operates in a fellowship of Christians loving one another in practical expressions of kindness, hospitality, admonition and instruction.
