What is a podcast?
A podcast is a way for segments of audio (in this case sermons) to be downloaded automatically every time there is a new one. You can then listen to them on your computer or on an Apple iPod. The easiest way to take advantage of podcasts is to use iTunes, a free program for Windows and Mac. This tutorial will tell you how to set up iTunes to "subscribe" to the Faith Community Church sermons podcast.

What do you need?
First you need to download and install iTunes, if you don't already have it. You will need one of the following operating systems on your computer: Windows 2000, XP or Mac OSX. On the right hand side of this page you will find a link for downloading iTunes from Apple. Download it and install if don't have it installed already.

How to setup the destination folder on your computer?
It is important to setup a folder on your computer that will contain all the files that you download via iTunes. This will help you remember where the sermons are.

Click Edit, then Click Preferences, then click the Advanced tab.
In the "iTunes music folder location" click change and then choose the destination folder you desire.
IF necessary create a new folder, something very easy to remember, like C:\My iTunes or C:\My Music\My iTunes. Then click OK.

In this destination folder, iTunes will create a folder called "Podcasts" and within Podcasts you will find a folder called "Faith Community Church - Sermons". This is where iTunes will place all the sermons downloaded automatically.

How do you subscribe to the FCC Sermons podcast?

In iTunes click "Podcasts" on the left menu.
Then click "Advanced" on the top and from there
Click "Subscribe to Podcast...".
Then put this text in the box and click OK:

The most recent sermon on the website should begin downloading automatically. Once it is done you can click on it and then click the play button on the top left and start listening. Or, if you have an iPod, you can then plug it in and copy the podcasts to it.
